Pancakes and Booze? Yes, please.
I had the pleasure of covering the Pancakes and Booze art Show in the art mecca of Dallas, Deep Ellum, last month as part of my duties as VD for Deep Nerd Magazine. It's hard to explain that feeling you get when you're in a room jam packed with creativity. Then, you throw some delicious pancakes and booze in the mix and you've got a guaranteed good time. This is what Pancakes and Booze embodied.
There were rows and rows of some of the best artwork I've ever seen. I stopped at a few exhibits to talk to the artists and their stories were just as intriguing as their art. This was my first time attending a Pancakes and Booze event but I promise you it won't be my last.
The originality and diversity of the artists involved really pushed this event to another level. From photographs to hand painted jewelry to live painting, this event had it all. It was truly inspiring to see all the different types of artistic expression in one place, and I felt lucky to be able to be there to take it all in.
I could sit here and write all day about the caliber of excellence I saw but I doubt anyone would want to read all that and I'm a photographer..lol. So I'll let the pics do the talking, and end by saying saying this. If you have a chance to check out the next Pancakes and Booze Art show, do it. I promise you won't regret it. I've attached more pictures from the event below.
